Decision making is a skill all people have. Because we are building our lives according to our decisions. However, this doesn’t mean that everyone is good at decision making. Even if someone is good at making the right decisions, this doesn’t mean that he/she is doing that fast enough.

So, neither having the ability to make decisions nor being good at making the right decisions is enough. Because, considering the variety of decisions that we need to make, we must be fast about that. Unfortunately, that is not that much easy.

Don’t let your anxiety cover you now. It is not exactly 2 minutes. The idea behind this method is to set a time limit for your decision making process. It’s a simple strategy that is easy to use. If you follow the 2-minute rule, you will crush procrastination and start making decisions fast.

So, how to follow the 2-minute rule? The first thing you have to do is to determine a time frame for your decision making process. Once you set the time limit, you can start to write down the pros and cons of your alternatives.

After you finish writing down the pros and cons, you can start to assess them. In the end, you can make your decision. The only must for the 2-minute rule is you need to make your decision before the time that you determined is up.

It may sound weird but you should give it a try. It works for any decision making process. If you are slow at making decisions, this method could be a lifesaver for you.
